The ICSI CSEET new syllabus for 2026 will replace the previous online remote examining mode and objective questions with an offline, multi-day, subjective format starting in June 2026. Detailed updates are available on the official ICSI website. New topics like ESG, Drafting, and Compliance Management will be introduced at the Executive level.
EFFECTIVE DATE
The first session of restructured CSEET will be held in June 2026.
Date of The introduction In June 2026, the reorganized CSEET will hold its inaugural session. The final session of the current CSEET in remote proctored mode will take place in January 2026. Students who pass the CSEET in January 2026 will be eligible to apply for registration in the CS Executive Program within a year of the date the results are announced, without having to pay an exemption fee.
Validity of CSEET Enrollment
According to the updated structure, CSEET registrations are valid for three years starting in the month of registration.
Validity of CSEET Results
The results of the CSEET will only be valid for a year starting on the date that result and students passing the CSEET should register for CS Executive Programme within the said period.
Key Changes for June 2026 Session & Beyond
- Exam Mode: Shift from Remote Proctored to Offline Center-Based.
- Exam Structure: Now spread over 4 days, with 3 hours per paper, moving towards subjective answers.
- New Subjects (Executive Level): Introduction of ESG, Drafting, Compliance Management, and Strategic Management/Corporate Finance.
CSEET New Syllabus & Pattern(Applicable from June 2026)
The exam is divided into four papers, each with 100 marks, spread across multiple days.
- Day 1: Business Communication (100 Marks) – Subjective.
- Day 2: Fundamentals of Accounting (100 Marks) – Subjective.
- Day 3: Economic & Business Environment (100 Marks) – Subjective.
- Day 4: Business Laws & Management (100 Marks) – Laws (60 marks, Subjective), Management (40 marks, OMR-based MCQ).
